Admission Requirements 2023/2024

The following requirements apply to all students who are interested in pursuing a program at the Capricorn TVET College. Depending upon what type of applicant you are, you may also have to meet additional requirements. The minimum requirements for Capricorn TVET College admission are outlined below:

Students who apply for Generic Admission are MSCE holders. But we also accept a whole range of other equivalent qualifications.
In some subjects, particularly sciences, candidates should have studied certain subjects. Please see the specific subject requirements on the individual course.

The selection criteria for all Capricorn TVET College courses relate to your academic achievement and potential.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

For entry into the National Certificate (VOCATIONAL) at NQF Level 2 you are required to have:
• A year-end school report for Grades 11 or 12 certificates; or
• An NQF 1 qualification; or
• An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose to access NQF Level 2; or
• A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2
• Grade 9 and 10 will be considered only in exceptional cases.
