Online Applications for the 2023 academic year are now open at Northern Cape Urban TVET College. All students should register online, remotely. Northern Cape Urban TVET College strives to equip their students. This includes vocational and occupationally directed skills.

In addition to providing various courses, they also provide deserving students with bursaries to help them financially. Application Requirements

NATIONAL CERTIFICATE VOCATIONAL – NC(V)

To be accepted for the following NC(V) Programs you must have:
Safety in Society:
Minimum passed grade 12 or repeating
Office Administration:
Grade 12, 11, 10 or 9
Tourism:
Grade 12, 11, 10 or 9
Finance, Economics and Accounting:  
Grade 12, 11, 10 or 9 with Accounting
Civil Engineering & Building Construction:      
Min passed Grade 12 or repeating with mathematics
Electrical Infrastructure Construction:    
Min passed Grade 12 or repeating with mathematics
Engineering & Related Design: 
Min passed Grade 12 or repeating with Mathematics

NATIONAL CERTIFICATE

To be accepted for the following NATED programs you must have:
National Senior Certificate
NQF Level 4
Financial Management:
National Senior Certificate with Accounting
Engineering:
National Senior Certificate with Mathematics

LEARNERSHIP

The Business Unit organizes various accredited and non-accredited part-time and full-time courses on demand such as:
Hairdressing: NQF Level 2-4  (Duration 1 year per level)
Early Childhood Development: ECD Level 4 – 5 (Duration 1year per level)
Business Administration: Level 4 (Duration 1 year per level)
Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)SA: Level 4 (Duration 1 year per level)
New Venture Creation: Level 4 (Duration 1 year per level)

To be accepted for any skills program you must be 16years of age and older:
Jewellery:
Grade 11.
Electrical:
Grade 10 with Maths.
Motor Mechanic & Welding:
Grade 10 with Maths.
Bricklaying:
Grade 9.
Plumbing:
Grade 9.
Upholstery & Carpentry:
Grade 9

GENERAL INFORMATION WHEN FILLING THE FORM

Please read the following carefully before completing this form:

1. Students who are applying for the first time should complete this form.

2. Applicants should sign the application form and the legal guardian(if the applicant is younger than 18 years).

3. Applicants should complete the form in full. Also, certified copies of all supporting documentation should be enclosed. If any questions are left unanswered or documents are not enclosed, or the legal undertaking is not signed by the student and/or the legal guardian, it will cause a delay as the form will be returned for completion.

4. Please write in black ink and use block letters.

5. The College determines the closing date for applications. This is done at the start of the respective academic period. Also when the program is full, whichever occurs first.

  4. A full application submitted entirely must include the certified copy of your ID and a certified copy of your latest school results as stated above.
