Fees structure 2023

The fees structure supports:

  • Facilities, programs, and services that promote student involvement and that are complementary to, but not part of, instructional programs.
  • Supports operating and capital expenses for services related to the physical and psychological health and well-being of students, social and cultural activities and programs.
  • Services related to campus life and campus community, and educational and career support services.

King Hintsa TVET College offers financial assistance to full-time students in the form of bursaries in collaboration with the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) for financially challenged students.

These policies and procedures are applicable to all students who officially register for programs at King Hintsa TVET College. The institute reserves the right to change fees without prior notice to the student. However, the Governing Council are responsible for fee changes.

How to Download King Hintsa TVET College Fee Structure 2023/2024

Every student should endeavor to check the schedule of fees, so as to be sure of the exact amount.

Before applying as a student, you will have to establish whether or not you will have funds to finance your studies. In addition to the actual course/module fees, please keep in mind that you have to make provision for books, equipment if applicable to your program, transport, accommodation and general living expenses.

DHET TVET COLLEGE BURSARY SCHEME

Department of Higher Education and Training bursaries are available for National Certificate Vocational courses and Report 191 (NATED or ‘N’) courses at public TVET Colleges to students who meet the criteria.

These bursaries are not loans. The National Student Financial Aid Service (NSFAS) administers the funds.

In terms of the NSF-TVET Colleges, each student enrolled in a state-funded program must be subsidized by 80% of the total program cost. The difference of 20% of the total program costs, which constitute College fees, must be recovered from the scheme.

Through the bursary scheme the Department of Education provides access to vocational education and training at public TVET Colleges for financially needy and academically deserving students to assist them in the payment of tuition, accommodation, meals and personal care.

The requirements for the TVET Colleges Bursary Scheme are:

  • South African Citizenship
  • Enrolled or intending to enroll at a Public TVET College
  • In need of financial assistance
  • Able to demonstrate potential for academic success

Who receives funds?

Successful applicants will have their TUITION paid directly to the College on their behalf. The other allowances will be paid to the students directly.
