How to Make Tom Brown Porridge with Rice Cake

How to Make Tom Brown with Rice Cake – Check below the detailed procedure on how to make the tastiest Tom Brown with Rice Cake Recipe:



  1. Half cup of Tom brown flour
  2. Water
  3. Sugar
  4. Pinch of salt to taste
  5. Milk


  1. Put to a boil half cup of  water.
  2. Mix the tom brown flour with little water to form a smooth but thick paste.
  3. Add a pinch of salt to taste and stir.
  4. Pour the paste into the boiling water.
  5. Stir continuously until it becomes thick.
  6. Add a little water if it’s too thick to lighten it.
  7. Once the thickness is to your preference, leave it on fire for about two minutes.
  8. Now add sugar to taste.
  9. Remove from fire and serve with some milk.

  1. Cooking oil
  2. 400ml coconut milk
  3. A tbsp of dry active yeast
  4. Sugar
  5. Lukewarm water
  6. Salt to taste
  7. About two cups of rice



  1. Soak rice in water and keep it in the fridge overnight.
  2. Rinse it thoroughly with water and pour it in the blender
  3. Then add the coconut milk, all of it.
  4. Add some granulated sugar to your taste.
  5. Add a pinch of nutmeg
  6. Add some salt to taste.
  7. Blend until smooth
  8. In a clean bowl, mix 1/2 dry active yeast, 1tsp of sugar and 1/4 cup lukewarm water in a cup
  9. Stir and cover with a kitchen towel and leave it for 10mins
  10. After 10mins, add it to the rice mixture and stir
  11. Use your knife to draw a line on top of it to keep the yeast alive
  12. Cover and leave it for about an hour
  13. Heat frying pan( with already made round cake spaces in it)
  14. Add a pinch of oil to each space to prevent the cake from sticking while cooking
  15. Fetch the rice mixture with a ladle into the frying spaces in the pan
  16. Fry on low heat
  17. Add more oil to help you turn over to the other side
  18. Flip it or turn over with a skewer
  19. Add a little more oil to cook the other side
  20. Fry until golden brown on very low heat.
  21. Serve with tea OR any beverage for breakfast
