How to Make Boiled Rice and Beans Stew – Check below the detailed procedure on how to make authentic Boiled Rice and Beans Stew Recipe:


  1. Cold Press Coconut oil
  2. Onion
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Cups of green peas
  5. Crushed white pepper
  6. Garlic powder
  7. All purpose seasoning
  8. Long grain rice
  9. Water
  10. Coconut milk
  11. Thyme
  12. Scallions
  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add chopped onions
  2. Add crushed white pepper, garlic powder, all purpose seasoning.
  3. Stir gently and add the peas.
  4. Add a bit of salt to taste
  5. Stir and fry for 30 seconds and transfer it onto a clean plate and set aside.
  6. In the same pan, heat some more coconut oil and add chopped onions, all purpose seasoning.
  7. Followed by the coconut milk and stir.
  8. Add washed rice and stir thoroughly.
  9. Cook and stir until the water is evaporated.
  10. Season with salt.
  11. After that add some water to cook and stir.
  12. Bundle up the green scallions and fresh thyme together and place on top of the rice for a nice flavour.
  13. Cover the pot and allow to cook on low heat for 20 mins.
  14. Remove the scallion and add peas and mix well.

15. Enjoy with some fish stew

  1. A cup of beans
  2. Tomato mackerel
  3. Salted fish
  4. Tomato paste
  5. Smoked salmon
  6. Onions
  7. Palm oil.
  8. Bouillon cube.
  9. Powdered pepper

  1. Wash and Soak beans for about 5 hours.
  2. Remove beans, transfer in a cooking pot , add water and set it on fire to cook.
  3. Cook until tender.
  4. Add more water if needed.
  5. Add salt to taste when beans is tender.
  6. Cook for about two minutes and set aside.
  7. In a saucepan, heat palm oil on fire and add salted fish or momone.
  8. Fry for about two minutes and stir.
  9. Add chopped onions and minced garlic then fry for about two minutes.
  10. Break smoked salmon into small sizes and add.
  11. Fry for a minute and add two tbsp of tomato paste .
  12. Stir and fry for about 2 mins.
  13. Add powdered pepper.
  14. Stir and add bouillon cube.
  15. Cook for about a minute and add cooked beans.
  16. Stir and cook for about two minutes and add a tin of mackerel.
  17. Cook for 1minute
  18. Serve and enjoy with fried plantain, rice or yam.
